Seven Lakes Golf & Dining in Cato

Even though it rained off and on during the round, our guys had a great time. The greens were absolutely fantastic, as well as the entire staff. We always finish out our trip with 7 Lakes and I hope we continue to do so.

Course is in excellent condition, pleasant & helpful staff. Great golf package includes golf, cart, food and two beverages. Fun & challenging golf.

Super great golf course, I highly recommend it.

The course is in great shape! The fairway has sand bunkers left and right average about 250 yards to reach them. There are lot of blind shots to the green. More than half of the greens are elevated which means one or one half club to reach center. Pin placement is is touch a few time place about three yard on greens. Sometimes a bogey is a par. I like this course and plan to play again soon! After we finished 18 we ate at the grill and bar and the service was great and fast. Food was excellent! Price was average. Enjoy golf and a meal.

This is a solid golf course, the staff takes great care of you and the course itself offers a great variety of terrain and can be quite challenging at times. There is plenty of water and sand traps to keep you occupied. The course could use a little TLC in some spots. There is some construction in places but I'm sure in a few months everything will be perfect

One of the greatest values you will find in golf anywhere. The rate includes green fee, cart fee, lunch and 2 beers. You choose lunch from the menu!! The golf course is a hidden gem with nice conditioning and a very fun layout. You have to try it and I bet you come back!

Even off season this was a nice course. Would love to play it when it's not so muddy. Great french fries in the grill!

A change of ownership recently made this a public course. The clubhouse and restaurant were extensively remodeled and much improved. The course itself is very well maintained and offers stunning views. It is tricky and deceptive, with plenty of sand and water hazards that make you work for par. Great customer service and a great value all around.

Best place to golf ever! Let me say that again, best place to golf in NC! Guys and girls are so friendly there and the course is great!

Have played here a few times a year for the past several years charged the local rate which was suppose to include food and a couple off drinks. Golf course is in decent shape greens are slow which is expected this time of year but overall good. Went to bar before round purchased beverages for the round got a free cooler but couldn’t wait for food because they were busy and we had to tee off so young lady said we will be here when you get done. Finished at 4:30 and the older lady I believe manager was rude and said food is not available I’ve been here since 6:00 am like it was our fault. Then proceeded to argue with us about whether we were told or not about food not being available. If it’s isn’t available that’s fine but you charged each of us for it so basically that would be like charging me for a tee time then saying sorry we are closed with no refund. No thanks happy about it so be cautious and make sure you get what you pay for.

Probably the most bang for buck golf course I have ever played at. Price included breakfast buffet, two beers, lunch, cart, and green fee. The course was immaculate. The fairways are very forgiving.

All around great experience. The course is in great shape, the staff is friendly, the bar/restaurant is comfortable and welcoming.

Group of 12 of us played. Course was in great shape, even though my game was not. Had lunch in the clubhouse afterwards. Food was delicious and service by Monica was excellent. Go see her. We'll be back

Played great round but the food and service was fantastic!!! I recommend Philly cheese steak and fries!!!Monika was our waitress and was great!

Even though greens were aerated, the course played very well. In great shape, nice layout.

The golf is good enough, but they don’t care about the homeowners by not fixing broken fans that produce excessive noise.

A truly nice course with great rates. The 'team', from club pros to groundskeepers, are all genuinely nice and they are in the process of installing high velocity fans on all of the greens. The same greens were aerated in the spring and are currently in great shape. Today was a scorcher and they had a roving cart distributing wet, cold towels for the asking.

Love to play golf at seven lakes

We went for lunch. It was fantastic!! The staff is friendly and very welcoming. They even introduced us to our new neighbor. The service is quick and the food was good. We were a bit disappointed to learn that they do not do breakfast any longer and they don't do dinner. I feel this is a missed opportunity but there must be a good reason. We will definitely make this a regular lunch spot.

Great 18, a great staff and a great value2020 trip to Seven Lakes was great again, food was awesome, the staff was great and the course was perfect. Folks, do not let a great course and staff lose this awesome layout. Support them consider booking them on your next trip!

Green fee only $25 with coupon. Still not worth it. Golf course barely playable.

Beautiful layout and track. Tough course visually from the tee box. Having never been there before, there were lots of blind tee shots that make it difficult to get comfortable. Very nice course and restaurant was good.

Course was in great shape, very packed...5hr. round of golf...3rd hole(par 3)..had 4 groups on it..had a starter their wanting us to wave up next group when we got to the green...then there were 3 groups on the next tee box..very slow...but very beautiful golf course... service in bar /resturant was very good...

Course was very very dry. Greens were good, but the course was burnt out. Tee boxes weren’t cut. I don’t know if this is because of Covid-19 and they just stopped watering the course.

For the cost to play, this is an incredible golf course! Well done 7 lakes!For $35 you get 18 holes of golf on a very nice course with EXCELLENT greens and lunch included! By the way, lunch was excellent and very fast to be served. Absolutely nothing negative about the course.

The course was in excellent condition, the fairways were like carpet, nice and interesting layout. The restaurant has outstanding burgers and steak sandwiches, there was eight of us and everyone enjoyed their lunch. The service was great.

For breakfast, (if you get an early tee time) 18 holes golf, & lunch. You can not beat the price. The only thing I didn't like is how slow the greens were. Other than that great course to play. By the time they have the Mary L Quick Tournament on Friday July the 5th the greens should be fine.
